Patrick Greco, Partner, Condominium Law Group

Lawyer, Shibley Righton LLP Barristers & Solicitors

Patrick Greco is a partner in the Condominium Law group at Shibley Righton LLP, where he enjoys the full perspective gained from providing both solicitor and litigation services to condominium clients.

As a solicitor, Patrick helps Boards and Property Managers navigate the day-to-day issues they face. He is a firm believer that good written and oral communication, empathy, and a pinch of humour and creativity can help condominium corporations handle even their most difficult problems. Patrick views chairing a challenging owners’ meeting as an opportunity to resolve concerns and build community.

Originally a litigator by training, Patrick has represented clients on numerous matters before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and Court of Appeal of Ontario. With a significant background in constructions law, he assists condominium corporations the full range of services from bidding and tendering all the way to litigation, including appearing before the Licence Appeal Tribunal on behalf of his clients to appeal Tarion warranty decisions.

Patrick sits on the CCI Golden Horseshoe Board of Directors, the CCI Toronto Education Committee, and the CCI Golden Horseshoe Professional and Business Partners Committee.

Patrick is frequently invited to speak at events including the Toronto Condo Conference, CCI Golden Horseshoe Annual Conference, ACMO manager luncheons, and property management company in-house seminars. Patrick also loves teaching and has instructed CCI Level 100 and 200 courses, the ACMO training course at Humber College, the Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario training course, and various other courses. Patrick also contributes articles for various industry publications and made submissions to the provincial government on Bill 106 and to the independent review of the Tarion program.

In his free time, Patrick can be found working on his numerous hobbies, including his perennial and vegetable gardens, practicing yoga, brewing kombucha, traveling, and recently completing his culinary arts certificate from George Brown College.
